Ok, so it's Tuesday. Time for the weigh-in...

And the results are...

Last week: 186
This week: 185

I'm ok with that. Its a loss, and considering the three meals out last week and the lack of Shredding for 3 days (including yesterday), I'll definitely take a pound's loss. Hopefully this next week - sticking closer to the eating plan AND working out each day - I'll see a bigger loss.

Also? The Shredding this morning didn't happen. I was asleep almost as soon as I turned out the lights at 8pm and woke up around 5:30am. CRAZINESS!!! So I'll just have yesterdat as a missed day as well. But I'll Shred as soon as I get home. (Then I have to go get more peanut butter for my new favorite Banana Breakfast Shake from Jillian's menu!!)

I made the decision to hit Trader Joe's after school because I needed honey (left out of my parfaits, but I figure since I mix them all up anyway it won't be a big deal to add it in at time of eating) and peanut butter (for the banana breakfast shakes, DUH!) and I figured as hot and icky as it is, if I went home and got all sweaty from working out, I wouldn't want to put on clothes clothes (as in non-workout clothes) and go back out.

On my way back from Trader Joe's, I was really seriously contemplating doing Yoga Meltdown instead of Shredding today. I still get a good workout, and it's a little bit of a change of pace. But I was all indecisive - though leaning towards Yoga Meltdown because I "wasn't feeling the jumpy stuff of the Shred" as I told someone on twitter.

Then when I got home and got the mail, my stuff from the bonus I got when I joined Jillian's site - a DTB copy of Master Your Metabolism (DTB = Dead Tree Book; I already have it on my nook) and the dvd Burn Fat Boost Metabolism. So my brain went "Ooh new and shiny! Must try!"

Somehow I was stupid and didn't realize that it would still be a lot of jumpy stuff. So I opted to do that.

Um...think like maybe doing all three levels of the Shred back to back...but doing your ab work standing up. (Ok, one section where you're on the floor.)

But overall? I liked it! A lot!

That in and of itself says how far I've come since I started this journey in April.

Now yes, it's tough. As hell. But there are enough familiar moves I recognized from the Shred that I never totally felt lost. And the moves that weren't in the Shred I at least somewhat recognized from Tae-Bo days or kickboxing back when I had a gym membership. Of course Jillian puts her own spin on them, but that's what makes it cool!

I will say that she doesn't always give you the beginner modification (mountain climbers, I'm looking at you), but I basically just did what I do when they pop up in the Shred. And then there are some where the "modification" is just making the movement smaller (cross countries I'm looking at you). There's a 5 minute warm-up and a 5 minute cool-down on opposite ends of 40 minutes of intense cardio.

Yeah...apparently I got whapped upside the head with the crazy-stick when I decided that this would be a better option than Yoga Meltdown when I wasn't in a jumpy stuff mood. But I did it!!

On a nerdy note...am I the only one who almost (or does) bursts into tears when she finishes a workout she knows was really hard and just realizes "OMG I did it!!"??
